Awkwafina

Awkwafina began as a American rapper and singer, making sly songs that addressed topics like racial or sexual identity with a comedic twist. Before expanding to Hollywood, she could perform a variety of tracks. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her very first music experience. She performed on the trumpet. Her classical, jazz and hip-hop training began as she was in her teens. In college, she studied the field of women's studies and journalism. In addition, she spent a short time studying Mandarin at the University of Beijing. However, it wasn't until she graduated that she shifted her focus on music. The song My Vag, a response track to the Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity through the Internet in the year 2012.
